In a major breakthrough, Lahore police have arrested the prime suspect, Constable Farooq, in the murder case of Lady Constable Somun. The arrest was made from the suspect's residence, and the investigation is now underway. Farooq, who was serving in the police operations department, has confessed to the crime. According to police sources, Farooq revealed during interrogation that he was in love with Somun and wanted to marry her. However, tensions arose when Somun decided to marry someone else, leading to the tragic incident. Both the suspect and the victim were stationed at the Police Lines and were assigned law and order duties at the Manawan Police Station on the day of the incident. The murder, which took place in broad daylight, has shocked the police community. A case was filed by the victim's brother, in which two other suspects, identified as Tahir and Hamza, have also been named for their involvement in the crime. Further investigation is ongoing.
