A proclaimed offender was killed while his two accomplices managed to escape after exchange of fire with police in Shahdara area of Lahore on Tuesday. The police on a tip-off regarding presence of wanted criminal launched crackdown. The criminals present in the area started firing at police and attempted to flee. In exchange of fire a notorious proclaimed offender Pervez alias Kanan wala was killed while his two cohorts managed to escape. A passerby was also injured in the firing. The killed criminal was wanted by police in dozen of cases was considered to be symbol of fear for common citizen. The body and injured were shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities.
