Another child died of pneumonia infection in Punjab within 24 hours, health department report said on Monday. According to the report, another 490 cases of pneumonia have been reported in Punjab in a single day. Despite measures taken by the provincial government and betterment in weather condition, pneumonic continues to claims more lives after another child fell prey to the disease. During 24 hours, 134 cases of pneumonia have been reported in Lahore but no death was reported. With recent death, the total number of children who died of pneumonia in the province has climbed to 392. Hundreds of children were being treated for pneumonia, chest infections and viral infections in different hospitals of Lahore.
