February 04, 2026

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has made a prediction regarding the sighting of the moon for Ramazan 2026. According to the department, the moon will be born on February 17, 2026, at 5:15 pm, and the first day of Ramazan is expected to be on February 19, 2026. The PMD indicated that there is a strong possibility of the Ramazan moon being sighted on the evening of February 18.

In Karachi, the age of the moon on that evening will be approximately 26 hours. The sunset in Karachi is at 6:25 pm, while the moon is expected to set at 7:24 pm. Meteorologists highlighted that for a successful moon sighting, the age of the moon should be more than 19 hours, which indicates favorable conditions for observers in most parts of the country. The PMD also forecast partly cloudy weather in many regions of Pakistan on February 18, which could slightly affect moon visibility in some areas.
