Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephonic conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, during which the two leaders discussed the evolving regional situation and the wider impact of escalating tensions in the Middle East.During the exchange, the prime minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for Saudi Arabia and strongly condemned any attacks targeting the kingdom’s security and sovereignty.
He emphasized that Pakistan would always stand firmly alongside Saudi Arabia in safeguarding regional stability. The two leaders also held detailed discussions on regional and global peace, including ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions and promoting stability across the region. Both sides underscored the importance of dialogue and cooperation to address emerging challenges.
It is worth mentioning here that yesterday, in a message posted on X, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that Pakistan was prepared to play a constructive role in facilitating peace by hosting negotiations to end the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran. He said Pakistan welcomed and fully supported efforts to pursue dialogue to bring an end to the war in the Middle East, highlighting that peace and stability in the region remained a shared priority.
The prime minister further noted that, subject to the willingness of the United States and Iran, Pakistan stood ready and honoured to host meaningful and result-orientated talks aimed at achieving a comprehensive settlement of the conflict.
