Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Saturday, paid tributes to Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed, recipient of Nishan-e-Haider, on the 68th anniversary of his martyrdom, lauding his sacrifice and bravery in defence of the motherland. The prime minister said Major Tufail Shaheed had made the ultimate sacrifice for the country, etching an immortal chapter in Pakistan’s defence history.

He said the sacrifice and bravery of Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed were a matter of pride for the entire nation and served as a shining example for generations to come. “Our great sons of the soil are the staunch guardians of freedom, sovereignty and national security,” PM Office Media Wing, in a press release, quoted the prime minister as saying.

The courage and bravery of Major Tufail Shaheed represented the determination, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to the motherland that the officers and soldiers of the Pakistan Armed Forces demonstrated, he added. He further said the nation would never forget the sacrifices of its martyrs.
