Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a telephonic conversation with his Malaysian counterpart Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim and expressed solidarity over the recent cyclone-induced floods. During the telephonic conversation, the Prime Minister, on behalf of the people and Government of Pakistan as well as on his personal behalf, expressed heartfelt condolences to the Malaysian Prime Minister over the loss of precious lives and damages done to the property as a result of heavy rainfall, floods and landslides in the wake of recent cyclone.

While offering prayers for those who had lost their lives and wishing an early recovery of the displaced and injured, the Prime Minister conveyed complete solidarity with the Malaysian people at this time of grief. He also offered Pakistan's full support for relief and rescue operations as well as any assistance that the Malaysian side requires to deal with this natural disaster.
