The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has launched its largest-ever winter flower campaign, with 13,853 flower beds being prepared across the city. PHA Managing Director Ahmed Usman Javed said 13,853 flower beds are being established in parks and green belts this year, compared to 9,505 last year.

He said 4.742 million flower seeds have been distributed among horticulture and project directors for the season, marking a 31.38 percent increase over the previous year. The MD said nursery seedling production and transplantation to flower beds have already begun to ensure timely beautification of parks and green belts. He added that the eight zones and 11 project directors have been directed to complete all campaign targets within the stipulated timeframe.
