Pakistan has reiterated its unwavering solidarity with the people of Kashmir on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of India's illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir on October 27. Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, at her weekly press briefing, said that the people and government of Pakistan reiterate their unwavering solidarity with the Kashmiri people. She said the Deputy Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar has written letters to the leadership of the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, highlighting the serious situation in Jammu and Kashmir under the illegal rule of India. He also demanded full implementation of the relevant resolutions of the UN Security Council and stressed international measures to address human rights concerns, including the release of Kashmiri political detainees and activists. The Foreign Office Spokesperson said Pakistan will continue to provide political, diplomatic and moral support to Kashmiris for a just and peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN resolutions.
