PEC launches global freelance programme for Pakistani engineersBreaking

The Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) has announced the launch of a new programme to increase global freelancing opportunities for Pakistani engineers, under which 5,000 engineers will be trained.According to PEC Chairman Wasim Nazir, engineers will be provided with online training under the Global Engineering Freelance Initiative. During the training, engineers will be taught how to work on international freelance platforms.

The programme will guide engineers to build a strong portfolio and get their first freelance project. The engineering sector is rapidly moving towards digital and remote work.The programme will also provide new opportunities for young engineers to work in the global market. A career assessment based on artificial intelligence will also be conducted to assess the capabilities of the participants.

This initiative is expected to increase the exports of engineering services and earn foreign exchange for the country. This programme will play an important role in making Pakistan a part of the global digital economy.
