The people of Pakistan rejecting Afghanistan's construction of a project on the Kunar River with the help of India have said that whatever Afghanistan is doing poses a threat to Pakistanis, especially the Pashtuns. They say that Afghanistan, with the help of India, has taken on the initiative of water aggression by stopping water supply to the agricultural land of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through this project. “Afghanistan does not have its own resources, so it is receiving foreign aid,” the people have complained, insisting that Pakistan has sacrificed for these people and lost thousands of its own. “Afghanistan is not a fully recognised country, as many countries have not yet recognised its government,” the public is of the view. “Whatever Afghanistan is doing is at the behest of India.” “Whenever Afghanistan encounters difficult times, Pakistan has always been the first to stand by it,” as per the people. "Kabul, on one hand, raises its voice for the Pashtuns and on the other, suspends water supply to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.” “These actions expose Afghanistan’s real intentions towards Pakistan.”
