Pakistan, US agree qualified Pakistani nurses employment in New YorkBreaking

Pakistan and the United States have reached an agreement to send qualified Pakistani nurses to New York for employment, following the completion of necessary procedures. The Deputy Speaker of the New York State Assembly, Phil Ramos, led a delegation to Islamabad, where they were warmly received by Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi. The delegation, which included New York Assembly member Alec Cransey and leaders from the American Pakistani Public Affairs, discussed various mutual interests, focusing on education, health, and economic sectors. During the meeting, both sides agreed on a plan to facilitate the deployment of Pakistani nurses to address shortages in New York.

Deputy Speaker Phil Ramos extended an invitation to Minister Mohsin Naqvi to visit New York, highlighting the significant contributions of the Pakistani community in various fields in the US. Minister Mohsin Naqvi emphasized the potential for enhanced cooperation in education, health, and economic development between Pakistan and the US. He assured swift actions to initiate the process of sending qualified nurses to New York, citing positive discussions during his recent visit to the city. Both parties expressed eagerness to strengthen bilateral ties, including potential collaborations between law enforcement agencies such as Islamabad Police and the New York Police Department. This initiative underscores the deep historical and strategic relations between Pakistan and the United States.
