Pakistan Railway Police have thwarted an attempt to smuggle a substantial quantity of chalia, gutka, and supari, worth millions of rupees, from Lahore to Hyderabad under the guise of auto spare parts. During a routine check at the railway station's luggage counter, a consignment bound for Hyderabad was flagged, revealing various types of auto spare parts, among which illicit substances were concealed. Acting on a tip-off, Railway Police conducted a clandestine operation, resulting in the seizure of 720 kilograms of gutka, supari, and chalia from 16 parcels. An FIR has been registered under the supervision of SHO Rameez Haider at Railway Thana, with investigations underway to apprehend the culprits swiftly. The swift action by Pakistan Railway Police underscores their commitment to curbing smuggling activities and ensuring law and order across the railway network.
