Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON, and President of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Engineer Amir Muqam, said on Tuesday that Pakistan is once again moving on the path of economic recovery and stability due to Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif goal oriented policies and reforms. He said that the objective of the PM Laptop Scheme is to align the country’s youth with modern education, digital skills, research, and innovation.
He expressed these views while addressing, as chief guest, a ceremony held at the University of Buner for the distribution of laptops among students under the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme. Federal Minister Engineer Amir Muqam said that he felt immense happiness and pride to be present among the participants at the University of Buner, an important and emerging educational institution in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He said it was an honor for him that, on one hand, laptops were being distributed among 152 talented male and female students under the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme, and on the other hand, important projects related to academic, infrastructure, and digital development at the University of Buner were also being inaugurated.
He said that the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme is not merely a project, but a practical manifestation of the vision of Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, which aims to align the youth of the country with modern education, digital skills, research, and innovation. He added that these laptops are not just machines, but symbols of a bright future, self-confidence, self-reliance, and national development for the youth.
The Federal Minister said that today Pakistan is once again on the path of economic recovery and stability, and this success is the result of the Prime Minister’s prudent leadership, timely decisions, and tireless efforts. He said that whether it was difficult economic conditions, global pressure, or internal challenges, the Prime Minister guided the nation on every front and steered Pakistan toward progress and improvement.
He further said that we cannot forget Pakistan’s responsible, courageous, and dignified stance during the recent tense environment with India, during which the entire nation demonstrated unity, resilience, and national dignity. The Federal Minister said that on this occasion, he paid tribute to Field Marshal and CDF Syed Asim Munir and Pakistan’s brave armed forces, whose professional leadership and timely decisions have strengthened and made the defense of the beloved homeland impregnable.
He said that the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its armed forces. Engineer Amir Muqam also paid tribute to Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, under whose leadership doors of education, skills, employment, and digital opportunities are being opened for the youth, and that the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme is a continuation of this vision.
The Federal Minister said that he felt great satisfaction in informing that large-scale development work is being carried out at the University of Buner under the PSDP for the promotion of higher education. By the grace of Allah, projects that have been completed include a modern and fully functional administration block completed at a cost of Rs. 224 million. Along with this, a safe and well-facilitated girls’ hostel has also been completed at a cost of Rs. 126 million.
