Pakistan is intensifying oil and gas exploration activities in order to meet the growing demand for energy in the country, caretaker Federal Minister of Energy Muhammad Ali has said. In an interview with Emirates News Agency (WAM) on the sidelines of the ADIPEC conference in Abu Dhabi, he said, "We are preparing a policy regarding shale (shale) gas and tight gas. We are already onshore." and have announced bids in December for offshore exploration.The Energy Minister added that Pakistan's effective presence in ADIPEC this year, which includes around 10 companies from exploration, oil marketing and related sectors, is certainly a promising start.

The increase in the prices of petroleum and gas due to the increasing demand in the country has made it difficult for the poor people. The caretaker government is hoping that by accelerating oil and gas exploration activities, they will be able to provide relief to the people and encourage investment in this sector. Pakistan is also hoping to attract foreign investment in its oil and gas sector. The country's participation in ADIPEC is seen as a positive step in this direction.
