Early on Monday morning, two successive tremors shook Balochistan’s Zhob region, sparking concern among locals. The initial earthquake, with a magnitude of 5 on the Richter scale, struck at a depth of 35 kilometers, centered 106 kilometers south of Zhob, as reported by the National Seismic Monitoring Centre in Islamabad. Shortly after, another quake, measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale, occurred in the same area, with its epicenter 79 kilometers south of Zhob and a depth of 151 kilometers, according to the US Geological Survey. While there have been no immediate reports of damage or casualties, the consecutive tremors have heightened alarm among residents. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and advising vigilance for potential aftershocks.
