President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed confidence that the relationship between Pakistan and Japan will continue to grow stronger, with a clear purpose and shared ambition. He made these remarks during a ceremony in Islamabad in connection with the 66th birthday of Japanese Emperor Naruhito.
The President said that over eighty Japanese companies are active in Pakistan, contributing significantly to the creation of employment, strengthening the economy, and sharing valuable expertise. He further said that their presence reflects their confidence in the potential of Pakistan.
He said that Pakistan looks to Japan as a model of technological excellence and innovation, and seeks to learn from its experience to build skills, strengthen institutions, and prepare its youth for the future.
Asif Ali Zardari said Japan responded with compassion and practical support to Pakistan in difficult times of climate-related disasters. Highlighting the importance of the strategic location of Pakistan, the President said that Pakistan is located at the crossroads of Asia and connects trade routes, energy corridors, and regional markets.
