The Pakistan Academy of Sciences (PAS) has elected its office bearers for the term 2024-2026. It should be mentioned here that the Pakistan Academy of Sciences aims to promote education and research in the domain of pure and applied sciences in Pakistan. As per PAS bylaws, the Election of the Council of Pakistan Academy of Sciences for the term 2024-2026 held on December 1, 2023, was participated by various fellows of the academy. In accordance with results of the Election, the following fellows have been elected for the term 2024-2026: Prof. Dr. Kauser Abdulla Malik (President), Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ashraf and Prof.
Dr. Mohammad Qaiser (Vice Presidents), Prof. Dr. M. Aslam Baig (Secretary General), Prof. Dr. Saleem Asghar (Treasurer), Dr. Abdul Rauf Shakoori (Associate Secretary General), Dr. M. Raza Shah, Dr. M. Waheed Akhtar, and Dr. Sardar Khan (Secretaries of Provincial Chapters), and Dr. Saqib Ali, Maj. Gen. Dr. Aamer Ikram, Dr. Ahmad Mukhtar Khalid, and Dr. Asghari Maqsood (Executive Members). The New Council of the Academy will take the charge of PAS Office on January 1, 2024.
