Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Political Affairs,Zeeshan Malik on Tuesday called for expediting local government development projects across the province in line with the vision of Chief Minister(CM) Maryam Nawaz Sharif. Chairing a meeting with Punjab Minister for Local Government Zeeshan Rafique and elected representatives, he reviewed the pace of ongoing schemes and discussed measures to ensure their timely completion.
Participants also exchanged views on the overall political situation in the country. Parliamentary secretaries and MPAs highlighted development projects in their Constituencies and pointed out challenges, urging immediate attention to infrastructure gaps,public service delivery and pending schemes. The representatives appreciated the government’s development agenda, stating that initiatives under the chief minister’s leadership were yielding positive results at the grassroots level.
Zeeshan Malik assured that concerns raised by lawmakers would be addressed on a priority basis, reiterating the government’s commitment to equitable development across all constituencies. The meeting was attended by Parliamentary Secretary Sonia Ashir, Malik Qasim, and MPAs Zulfiqar Ali Shah,Muhammad Ahmad Laghari,Somia Atta Shahani,Rukhsana Kausar and Fiza Maimoona.
