A Gujranwala court Monday sent the arrested leader of the banned organization Al-Qaeda, Dr Aminul Haque to jail on a 14-day judicial remand. A close associate of Osama bin Laden, he was arrested from Gujranwala in a joint operation of CTD and secret agencies in Gujranwala. He was on physical remand as part of the ongoing investigation. Upon the completion of his physical remand, the official of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) presented him before the District and Sessions Judge's court in a tight security, requesting that he might be sent to jail on judicial remand. The court reviewed the case and subsequently ordered a 14-day judicial remand, during which Amin-ul-Haq will remain in judicial lockup. The high-profile terrorist Aminul Haque hailing from Afghanistan, was living in Pakistan by creating fake documents. He played an important role in the re-organization of the banned terror outfit Al-Qaeda.
