A former revenue official was shot dead and his son with another relative were injured over a petty dispute in Chichawatni tehsil of Sahiwal district, Police confirmed on Friday. According to police, the incident took place in village 39/14L-P near Kassowal city. The issue exacerbated into an armed conflict between two clans. The exchange of fire claimed life of Ghulam Rasool Jatt, while his son Hassan and relative Yunus got injured. The firing triggered panic among the locals and situation remained tense for some time.  A heavy force of police rushed to the crime scene to handle the situation. Police after reaching on the crime scene collected all possible evidence. Police shifted dead body to hospital for autopsy and injured are getting medical treatment in hospital. Police after registering FIR have launched raids to arrest the elements involved in clash.
