One person was killed while another sustained serious injuries in a firing incident in the Tor Chapar area of Darra Adam Khel on Thursday.According to a spokesperson for Rescue 1122 Kohat, emergency teams rushed to the scene soon after receiving reports of gunfire.

On arrival, rescue personnel found one individual dead at the spot, while another was critically injured and shifted to a nearby hospital for immediate medical treatment.

The cause and motive behind the shooting could not be ascertained immediately. Police said an investigation has been launched to determine the circumstances of the incident. The district police cordoned off the area, while efforts are underway to trace and arrest those involved.
