The Dera police on Friday arrested two suspects, including a notorious drug peddler, during separate operations in the limits of Dera Town Police Station and recovered a large quantity of narcotics and illegal weapon. According to police spokesman, the operations were carried out under the supervision of District Police Officer (DPO) Sajjad Ahmed Sahibzada as part of the ongoing crackdown against criminal elements across the district.
The action was led by SDPO Suburban Circle Kashif Sattar along with SHO Khalid Javed Lashari.During the raid, police arrested Muhammad Arif, son of Ghulam Bakhsh, a resident of Rasheed Abad, Zafarabad Colony, and recovered 2,707 grams of hashish from his possession.
In a separate action, the same police arrested Mubeen Khan, son of Nasrullah, a resident of Zafarabad, and recovered a 30-bore pistol along with ammunition from his possession. He was also booked in a separate case.The police officials said such indiscriminate operations against drug dealers and illegal arms holders will continue to ensure peace and public safety in the district.
