Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique has said that general elections should be held across the country at stipulated time. While talking to newsmen in Lahore on Tuesday, he said country is in the grip of acute financial crisis, so it’s not possible to hold elections for Provincial Assembly and National Assembly separately.

He further stated that government's top priority is to improve the economic condition of the country. “There is no bread to eat in the country and the election will increase the division” he stated.Responding a question he made it clear that PDM not running away from the election and added that country cannot afford another crisis. “Election is not a game, if we are together then it is good’ he said.
