The nomination papers of prominent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) figures have received approval, marking key developments in the political landscape. PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi's nomination papers, submitted for NA 214 Thar Parker, have been successfully cleared, along with his son Zain Qureshi, who submitted papers for the same constituency. In another significant development, the nomination papers of PTI Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh, filed for NA 238, have been accepted. Similarly, Arsalan Khalid of PTI, contesting from NA 241, has received approval for his nomination papers. The Election Tribunal, addressing an appeal from Firdous Shamim Naqvi, ruled in favor, leading to the acceptance of his nomination papers.
Justice Khadim Hussain cautioned against political speeches during the proceedings, emphasizing a focus on legal matters. Furthermore, an important decision by the Election Tribunal in Rawalpindi allowed Sabatin Khan to participate in the elections from PP 88 constituency in Mianwali. Notably, the tribunal also cleared the nomination papers of Pakistan Muslim League Zia-ul-Haq chief Muhammad Ijaz-ul-Haq for NA-55, rejecting objections raised by the returning officer. These legal victories underscore the dynamic nature of the electoral process, shaping the upcoming political landscape with various key players securing their candidacy.
