No gunmen, police personnel withdrawn from former CM GandapurBreaking

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police have confirmed that no gunmen or police personnel have been withdrawn from former Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.According to KP Police, only protocol-related facilities, including security jammer vehicles, have been taken back from the former CM. The action was taken in view of enhanced security arrangements for sitting CM Sohail Afridi.KP Police said that for the past four months, Ali Amin Gandapur had been using two jammer vehicles from the CM House, along with one large bulletproof vehicle.

It was further stated that eight Special Branch personnel were deployed with the jammer vehicles.Meanwhile, an official said that a total of 77 security personnel were currently deployed at the bungalow of the former CM Gandapur.The disclosure of official figures has sparked a renewed debate over security arrangements for former public office holders in the province. KP Police, while clarifying the situation, reiterated that no gunman or police official assigned for personal security had been withdrawn, and only protocol facilities were adjusted in line with security requirements.
