The National Highway Authority (NHA) on Thursday nodded to plan for setting up 15 new fine collection centres on national highways and motorways. The centres will be set up in areas where no fine collection center previously exist for the collection of fines. The centres will be established on N5 at Peshawar and Attock, M9, Lyari Expressway, Hyderabad to Karachi, Rawalpindi, Murree Express Highway, Peshawar R-Shakai, Abdul Hakeem Kamalia sector, M5, Ghotki Sukkur AND Karachi Bypass.

NHA will award all fines to various companies through tenders. Likewise, the companies will collect the fines and submit them to the NHA. According to NHA sources, the establishment of a new collection centers will make it easier for citizens to pay fines while travelling.
