New electric bus routes to be commenced after Eid: Sharjeel MemonBreaking

Sindh's Senior Minister and Provincial Minister for Transport, Sharjeel Memon, revealed that new transport initiatives are set to roll out post-Eid, following directives from Chairman of the Pakistan People's Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. Notably, the second phase of the women-exclusive Pink Bus Service is slated for launch in Karachi. Memon disclosed plans to kickstart new routes for electric buses shortly after Eid, aiming to bolster the city's public transportation system. Additionally, Mirpur Khas will witness the initiation of a People's Bus Service to cater to the commuting needs of the local populace.

Highlighting efforts to modernize public transport, Memon announced the introduction of a cashless ticketing service, which is anticipated to streamline fare transactions for commuters. Furthermore, the Sindh government is poised to introduce a complimentary shuttle service, linking the Orange Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and Red Line BRT, offering seamless connectivity options. The launch of the free shuttle service for Karachi residents is scheduled to commence immediately after the Eid festivities, underlining the government's commitment to enhancing accessibility and convenience for the city's commuters.
