NA continues debate on Federal BudgetBreaking

The National Assembly is continuing debate on the budget for the next financial year. Participating in the discussion, Parliamentary Secretary Farah Naz Akbar mentioned that incentives have been given to the construction sector in the budget, emphasizing that it will help boost economic activity. She said concrete steps have been proposed in the budget to give impetus to industries, agriculture and IT sectors. 

Farah Naz Akbar expressed the confidence that the country will witness accelerated growth in the years to come. Asad Alam Niazi said Pakistan’s stature has improved significantly at the international level because of its role in US-Iran peace agreement and for inflicting defeat on India last year. He emphasized the need for further strengthening the social protection framework. Raza Ali Gilani said the government should dedicate its efforts to the welfare of the poor people.
