Murderer of ex-attorney general awarded death sentence by ATCBreaking

An anti-terrorism court in Islamabad has awarded twice death sentence to the murderer of former Attorney General Sardar Muhammad Khan. Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Tahir Abbas Supra announced the verdict in the case on Friday.  Prosecutor Raja Naveed prosecuted the case on behalf of the government.  The court acquitted co-accused Waqif Khan due to lack of evidence.  The anti-terrorism court sentenced convict Roohullah to death for being found guilty.  Prosecutor Raja Naveed argued in the court that convict Roohullah had escaped from police custody in 2013. 

Convict Roohullah killed former Attorney General Sardar Muhammad Khan in F-10 area of ??Shalimar police station in 2010, said Prosecutor Raja Naveed.  The police also recovered the murder weapon from convict Roohullah, said Prosecutor Raja Naveed.  Convict Roohullah was sentenced to death in the murder section and death sentence in the terrorism section as well.  Convict Rohullah was also sentenced to Rs500,000 in compensation and a fine of Rs500,000.   Former Attorney General Sardar Muhammad Khan murder case verdict has been announced after 15 years.
