What could be termed an act of extreme generosity on the part of ex-Sindh chief minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, the finance department of the government of Sindh, on his order, paid not one, not even two but seven basic salaries to the chief secretariat employees on Saturday. The finance department of the government of Sindh released over Rs200 million for the purpose. Murad had ordered the payment of the amount before leaving the office. The department had over Rs60 million. But it arranged the remaining Rs140 million by deducting the amounts from other funds.
