A person riding a motorcycle died after falling into an open sewer manhole on Mission Road near the 16-block area of Sargodha on Wednesday. According to the details, the accident happened due to a lack of cover on the manhole. Rescue 1122 teams recovered the dead body from a kilometer away from the accident site after a 10-hour-long operation in the area. The deceased was identified as forty-year-old Amir Mehmood who was a resident of Islamabad Colony in Sargodha. Pertinent to mention here that the Sargodha Commissioner had also issued instructions to the Municipal Corporation administration few days ago to keep lids on the manholes but his order was not implemented by the concerned authorities.
