Mohsin Naqvi inspects immigration process at Karachi AirportBreaking

Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi said on Saturday that the passengers with incomplete and unattested documents would not be allowed to travel.During his two-hour long visit to Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport, he said that similarly professional beggars disguised as passengers would also be not allowed to board the plane. He said that nothing could be more important than Pakistan’s honour and prestige and no one would be allowed to bring a bad name to the country.

Naqvi said that those possessing valid travel documents had neither been stopped in the past nor would they be stopped in future.He said that the government attached top priority to facilitating passengers. The minister went to the counters and watched the immigration process. He had an interaction with the passengers heading to foreign countries and inquired from them how they were treated by the staff deputed at the airport.

Naqvi met with those travelling to Saudi Arabia and checked their documents. He asked the FIA officials to check the documents of some of the passengers, and applauded ASI Amir Lashari, an FIA officer, for stopping three passengers with incomplete documents. “Officers like Lashari, who perform their duties, are an asset,” the minister remarked. FIA Karachi Regional Director was also present on the occasion.
