Mohsin Naqvi hopes boost in ties during President Trump's tenure Breaking

Acting US Ambassador Natalie Baker called on Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Islamabad on Saturday and discussed a raft of issues with him.  During the meeting, relations between Pakistan and United States, matters of mutual interest and enhancing bilateral cooperation were discussed.   The meeting also discussed Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi's recent visit to the United States.   

On the occasion, Mohsin Naqvi said that his meetings with members of the Congress during the US visit were very positive, during which a joint action plan against terrorism was mulled and detailed parleys were also held on further advancing bilateral relations.  Mohsin Naqvi said terrorism is an international problem and the global community will have to work together to deal with it.   

Pakistan and the US have excellent relations, which spanned over several decades, Mohsin Naqvi said and added US cooperation is of utmost importance in enhancing the capacity of Pakistan's law enforcement agencies.  It is hoped that Pakistan-US relations will gain new strength during the tenure of President Donald Trump, Mohsin Naqvi said.  Mohsin Naqvi also invited the Acting US Ambassador to attend the Jashn-e-Baharan programme in Islamabad.
