Senior All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has expressed solidarity with the Pakistan Army Chief, General Syed Asim Munir, over the death of his mother.  According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirwaiz in a statement in Srinagar expressed his heartfelt condolences with Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir and other family members. 

Other Hurriyet leaders including APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas also prayed for the departed soul. They said there was no replacement for a mother.   APHC AJK leader Syed Faiz Naqashbandi in a statement in Islamabad extended his sympathies with the army chief. He prayed for courage for the bereaved family to bear the loss.
