Minister Naqvi urges national unity to eradicate drug menaceBreaking

Federal Interior and Narcotics Control Minister Mohsin Naqvi has called for joint efforts to establish a drug-free and healthy society in Pakistan. In his message on World Anti-Narcotics and Trafficking Day, Minister Naqvi emphasized the need for comprehensive measures to address the persistent dangers of drug use, which have long plagued society with crime, violence, poor health, and decreased productivity. Recognizing the gravity of the issue, Naqvi outlined the government's commitment to combating drug use and trafficking under the National Anti-Narcotics Policy. This policy includes strategies for reducing drug demand and supply, as well as fostering international cooperation.

"The devastating effects of drug use on our society make it essential to prioritize this battle at a national level," Naqvi stated. "Our fight against drug abuse and trafficking will only succeed if we unite as a nation." Naqvi stressed the importance of awareness, community involvement, and law enforcement in curbing drug abuse. He lauded the efforts of the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) and related agencies, acknowledging the sacrifices made by ANF officers and personnel in the mission for a drug-free Pakistan. "We salute the martyrs of the ANF and honor their sacrifices. A drug-free society is the right of our children, and we are committed to securing this right for them," Naqvi added.
