An alert has been raised across Balochistan as the Meteorological Department forecasts a new spell of heavy rains hitting the province from April 24 to 27. According to the Meteorological Department, most of the districts in Balochistan are expected to experience dry weather on Tuesday. However, Nokundi and Dalbandin might see light rain accompanied by strong winds and thundershowers. The minimum temperature in Quetta, the provincial capital, was recorded at 18°C. Other temperature readings include 15°C in Kalat, 37°C in Sabi, 36°C in Nokundi, 38°C in Turbat, 30°C in Jewani along the coast, and 31°C in Gwadar. The Meteorological Department has also indicated a possibility of rain in several other districts, including Ziarat, Shirani, Mo Sikhel, Now Shaki, Pashin, Harnai, Zhob, Bar Khan, Ko Hilo, and Sibi. Responding to the forecast, the spokesperson for the Balochistan government stated that Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti has instructed relevant departments and the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) to stay vigilant and prepared.
