Mayor of Woking Borough Council United Kingdom, Muhammad Ilyas Raja along with a delegation called on Minister of State for Tourism/Chairman PTDC Wasi Shah at his office at here PTDC Headquarters. The delegation included Mr Sabir Hussain, a businessman by profession and Mr Saifullah Saif Editor in Chief Daily Markaz. Wasi Shah appreciated the services of Muhammad Ilyas Raja,The Mayor of Woking Borough Council United Kingdom and termed him a pride of Pakistan. The Mayor lauded the efforts of Mr. Wasi Shah he has initiated for promotion of tourism in the country. He hoped that the commitment of Minister of State Wasi Shah would take the tourism to all time high and assured him his full cooperation in his capacity as Mayor of Woking Borough, Surrey UK. Wasi Shah thanked the delegation and hoped that foreign investors would take advantage of investment opportunities being extended by the Caretaker Federal Government in Pakistan.
Mayor of Woking Borough Council, Surrey, UK Mr. Muhammad Ilyas Raja also informed that UK has established toilets and dustbins at every tourist destination and spots so that the tourist could be facilitated and suggested that the same facilities may be provided for tourists visiting tourist destinations and far flung areas of Pakistan for exploring them. He added that the scenic and beautiful tourist spots of AJK & Pakistan has no match. Wasi Shah, while mentioning his recent visit to Gilgit Baltistan, added that the relevant authorities and district administration had been directed to provide all necessary facilities to the tourists in scenic Northern areas of Pakistan. He stressed that practical measures are being taken to welcome & facilitate tourists visiting Pakistan. He informed the delegation about the investment opportunities in Tourism Sector of Pakistan and especially Skardu, Gilgit Baltistan.
