On the orders of the Ombudsman Punjab Major (R) Azam Sulaiman Khan, Mayo Hospital Lahore has paid the dues of Rs 174, 22,702 to the government contractor. The petitioner had complained that he had supplied surgical disposable items worth PKR 1,85,56,200 to Mayo Hospital on 18-05-2022, but the hospital had not paid his dues. The Ombudsman Punjab issued instructions to the Medical Superintendent Lahore to ensure the payment of the dues of the complainant as soon as possible. On behalf of the Ombudsman, the parties were instructed to reach an understanding on August 7, 2023. According to the order, the payment of Rs 174, 22,702 was made to the complainant.
