The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration cell took action at Multan International Airport and foiled an attempt to ‘smuggle’ women abroad. FIA personnel said four women passengers were all set to fly abroad but all were intercepted and offloaded. FIA said women passengers were being taken abroad for exploitation and also did not have any kind of hotel booking. “Visa and tickets for women passengers were arranged by travel agent,” the FIA personnel said. The Federal Investigative Agency (FIA) took action at Multan International Airport and offloaded the family from the flight bound to Saudi Arabia allegedly for begging.
It is reported that 16 passengers including an infant obtained Umrah visa. The FIA said three travel agents had made arrangements for their stay and food in Saudi Arabia. It was revealed that half of the amount the family would receive in alms, should be given to the agent. FIA spokesperson said that a case has been registered against all family members.
