Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Maryam Aurangzeb has been appointed as Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Punjab According to media reports and party sources, Maryam Aurangzeb was expected to assume additional responsibilities, including the Ministry of Planning and Development, as well as potentially overseeing the Ministry of Forests and Wildlife. Furthermore, Uzma Bukhari was likely to be appointed as the Minister of Information and Broadcasting, while Chaudhry Shafi Hussain may be designated as the Minister of Business and Industry. The provincial cabinet was set to witness several key appointments, with Sher Ali Gorchani anticipated to take charge of the Ministry of Mines and Minerals, Sohail Bharat to head the Ministry of Communications, and Kazim Pirzada to lead the Ministry of Irrigation. Other notable appointments include Rana Sikandar Hayat for Primary Education, Khawaja Imran Nazir for Primary Health, and Khawaja Salman Rafiq for Specialized Health.

Additionally, Ashiq Kirmani was slated to oversee the Ministry of Agriculture, Khalil Tahir Sindhu to helm the Human Rights Ministry, and Ramesh Arora to handle Minority Affairs. Faisal Khokhar was expected to be appointed as the Minister of Sports, while Zeeshan Rafique was likely to take charge of the Local Government Ministry. In a related development, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz chaired a project review meeting for the construction of one lakh houses under the "Apni Chhat Apna Ghar" initiative. The meeting, attended by key officials including the Chief Secretary and Chairman P&D, focused on expediting the housing project, with Maryam Nawaz directing the preparation of a model house within six weeks and emphasizing the need for a comprehensive plan to implement the construction of 100000 houses across Punjab. The project aims to provide over three thousand houses for low-income families in each district of Punjab.
