October 28, 2024

In a recent appearance on a private television program, Sher Afzal Marwat, the leader of Tehreek-e-Insaf and a Member of the National Assembly, expressed his unwavering support for Chief Minister KP Ali Amin Gandapur, emphasizing that he holds no disagreements with him. Marwat praised Gandapur, who is currently the Chief Minister, for his initiatives and highlighted the importance of unity within their party during a time of protest. He criticized opposition parties, particularly the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), for allegedly exploiting the situation to their advantage. “Instead of focusing on Ali Amin's leadership during these protests, PML-N and others are misrepresenting the government's actions, claiming that the province is under attack from the center,” Marwat stated.

He warned that such narratives could potentially justify the imposition of governor’s rule in the province, which could ultimately undermine their government. The Tehreek-e-Insaf leader underscored the need for a strategic approach to the ongoing protests, suggesting that a dedicated committee should be formed to address the issues at hand and develop an effective plan moving forward. Marwat's comments reflect a commitment to solidarity within the party as they navigate challenges posed by opposition forces, and he remains optimistic about leveraging Gandapur's support to fortify their position.
