The 76th martyrdom anniversary of Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed, Nishan-e-Haider was observed on Saturday. Raja Muhammad Sarwar was born in Singhori village in Gujar Khan district on November 10, 1910. He was commissioned in Punjab Regiment in 1944. During Kashmir war, he rendered supreme sacrifice for the nation and embraced martyrdom on July 27th, 1948 at Tilpatra in Azad Kashmir. He was awarded first Nishan-e-Haider. Meanwhile, Armed Forces of Pakistan, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and Services Chiefs have paid homage to Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed on his martyrdom anniversary.

According to ISPR, Captain Muhammad Sarwar showed unwavering fortitude and heroism in defence of the motherland. The anniversary of Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed reminds us of the sacrifices made by the Armed Forces of Pakistan. Qurani Khawani was held in mosques on the occasion of the 76th martyrdom anniversary of Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed, Nishan-e-Haider The scholars prayed for the exalted status of the martyr. They said Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed was a brave son of the soil who will always live in the hearts of Pakistani people.
