A man lost his life and five others, including two policemen and a SHO, were critically injured when unidentified assailants attacked a police station in Jhal Magsi.The attackers targeted Kotra Police Station in Jhal Magsi. Police sources said that heavy exchange of firing which started at 6:00 am was still underway.SHO Mir Hassan Sipra, Mohammad Iqbal Lashari and Nisar Ahmad Lashari were also among the injured persons.
A wave of panic gripped the area after the incident. Police teams rushed to the site and started a search operation to apprehend the culprits.Earlier in January 2026, a tribal elder and chairman of the Panjk Union Council in Jhal Magsi district was killed in an exchange of fire between two clans of the Magsi tribe while his two children were injured.
Police said the exchange of fire occurred in the Panjk area when members of two rival groups came face to face. As a result, Panjk Union Council Chairman Mir Asif Sohrab Magsi was killed on the spot, while his two children traveling with him received injuries.
