Lady Reading Hospital (LRH), provided uninterrupted healthcare services during the Eid holidays, treating more than 15,000 patients and effectively managing a significant influx in emergency cases. According to hospital spokesperson Muhammad Asim, the emergency department remained fully operational throughout the holidays, where over 200 injured persons from traffic accidents, mostly motorcyclists, were provided immediate medical assistance during four days, including Chand Raat.
The hospital’s gynecology unit also remained fully functional, where around 200 babies were delivered, while thousands of patients were treated in both gynecology and pediatric emergency units. In addition, more than 22,000 diagnostic tests were conducted during Eid, and approximately 1,500 patients were admitted to various wards for further treatment.
The hospital administration, including Director Muhammad Tariq Khan Burki and Medical Director Dr Riaz ur Rehman, appreciated the dedication and hard work of doctors, nurses, paramedics and administrative staff for ensuring smooth and quality healthcare services during the holidays.
