Following the special instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Lahore General Hospital (LGH) has installed 400 new air-conditioners at the hospital. Principal Post-graduate Medical Institute Professor Dr. Muhammad Al-Fareed Zafar announced this during a media briefing here on Wednesday. Dr Al-Fareed Zafar emphasized that installation of these air-conditioners across various departments will greatly enhance the comfort of patients, especially during the hot weather. “Providing a good environment not only helps in patient recovery but also allows our healthcare professionals to deliver better treatment services,” he noted. He also commended Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique for his efforts in securing the new air-conditioning units for the hospital.
LGH Medical Superintendent Dr. Faryad Hussain reiterated the hospital management’s commitment to offering top-notch treatment facilities to the public. “We are taking all necessary measures to ensure the convenience and comfort of our patients,” he said. Addressing the media, the PGMI principal highlighted that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has prioritized health in her administration’s agenda, implementing revolutionary measures that are beginning to benefit the public. He praised the efforts of provincial ministers Khawaja Salman Rafique and Khawaja Imran Nazir in these initiatives, including the Chief Minister’s Field Hospital Project and Clinic on Wheels, which have introduced new and innovative healthcare services in the province.
