The Attock Police initiated legal proceedings against 92 illegal housing societies established in various areas of the district. The people have also been asked to keep away of making agreements and investing in these illegal societies. Deputy Commissioner Attock Dr. Hassan Waqar Cheema on Wednesday directed the police to conduct operations against unregistered housing societies established within the jurisdiction of tehsil administration Attock, Pindigheb, Fatehjang, Hassanabadal, Hazro and Jand besides warning to the general public to be more careful while making any kind of investments in these unauthorized housing schemes before getting prior information from the revenue department concerned.

He directed Attock police to lodge criminal proceedings against all these illegal business of real estate within the purview of the district Attock. Meanwhile, FIA has also be approached for necessary legal action against these illegal and unregistered housing societies which are floating their media campaign to deceive the general public without any permission of the relevant agencies since long. Following the directives of the DC Attock, FIRs have been registered against these illegal housing societies which include 05 in Attock, 06 in Hazro, 22 in Hasanabdal, 53 in Fatehjang, 04 in Pindigheb and 02 in tehsil Jand. However, police could not apprehend any big fish involved in this mysterious business of real estate till filing of this story.
