Despite the challenges posed by the smart lockdown, Lahore continues to cope with air pollution. The morning air quality index stands at 415, securing the city the first position in pollution levels. Notably, Upper Mall Canal Road records a concerning air pollution rate of 445. Shimla Pahari and its surroundings register an air pollution index of 413, while Mall Road isn't far behind at 408. Johar Town, too, contends with an air pollution index of 403.
The reopening of schools and colleges, despite the smog, has sparked normality in the city. Educational institutions are once again bustling with activity as students and teachers return to their classrooms. Students are diligently adhering to the mandatory mask-wearing protocols outside these establishments, underscoring the collective commitment to safety.
