Smog has again gripped Lahore, the city of gardens, as with the air quality index (AQI) recorded at 181, it was ranked as the second most polluted city in the world on Wednesday. The AQI over Phase-8, DHA stood at 188. Similarly, it was 195 over the US consulate, 190 over Thokar Niaz Beg and 175 over Fida Hussain Road. However, there is still chill in the air as breeze blowing at the speed of four kilometers per hour is keeping temperatures from rising again. Minimum temperature in the city early Wednesday morning was recorded at 13 degrees Celsius. The Met Office, on the other hand, predicted dry weather for the city during the next 24 hours. However, it said that a rain-producing system would enter the city on March 12.
