In a statement, Saif claimed that KP had surpassed other provinces in terms of development, adding that an agreement had been signed with a private company in this regard. He said the project would be completed within 1.5 years with an estimated cost of Rs8 billion. “The industries will be provided with very cheap electricity. In the first phase, a 40km long transmission line will be laid from Mattaltan Swat to Madin due to which the province would earn Rs7 billion annually,” he maintained.
